Mountain Pepper is the dried and ground leaf of a small Rainforest understorey shrub. Not as hot as pepperberries and without the fruity notes it adds beautifully to breads, stuffing, batter, dusting powders and baste'. A complex hot pepper burst with long lingering notes on the left side of your palate. Best where a subtle & complex heat is required, not as overpowering as Native Pepperberries but still very unique and distinctive. These whole dried Native Pepperberries are perfect for your pepper mill or grinder at home. They have a heat between pepper and chili but much more complex, almost sweet in both aroma and effect on the palate.
