It also has sections on the farming of those other freshwater crayfish including marron and red claw and contains a number of useful appendices.

Author John Mosig shares his experience of nearly 20 years, giving budding yabby farmers an insight into how they can run a yabby venture while developing their own aquaculture skills and gaining experience in fish husbandry. Practising crayfish farmers might find out how they can do some things better too.

About the Author: John Mosig has been involved in commercial warmwater aquaculture since 1979. His experience includes breeding and growing yellowbelly, catfish, silver perch and of course yabbies. He has written several publication on aquaculture and is a regular contributor to the national aquaculture magazine Austasia Aquaculture. He currently presents the warmwater aquaculture training program delivered through northern melbourne institute of TAFE. His qualification for this are that there isnt a mistake in aquaculture that he hasnt made!
