Heart-Tee Blue Tee is made from 100% pure Butterfly Pea Flowers.  A mild tasting tea with intense blue colour which will change from blue to purple and pink with the addition of lime or lemon juice! The flowers are a very high source of anthocyanin antioxidants.

Butterfly Pea Flower tea is used for the traditional Thai welcome iced tea drink called Nam Dok Anchun - just add a teaspoon of honey and squeeze of lemon to your tea and serve over ice.

Company founder Lee first discovered these beautiful blue flowers in 2010 growing wild in his hibiscus plantations in central Thailand. He immediately recognised the potential this flower had for the cocktail and tea market and was surprised it was not available outside Thailand. He spent the next 2 years developing a plantation system and special 3 stage drying process to create an international standard grade of flowers to bring this fascinating flower to the world.

A very interesting tea to try:

• Hot or iced herbal tea - Mix one Blue tea bag with one Heart-Tee Hibiscus tea bag for added boost of flavour and antioxidants.
• Add honey and lemon for the traditional Thai welcome drink – nam dok anchan
• Add 3 tea bags to a bottle of Gin, Vodka, Tequila or White Rum to make your own blue cocktails which will magically change to pink with the addition of lime juice!
• Make blue ice by freezing the tea. If you serve these in a lemonade or cocktail they will slowly turn the cocktail pink as the ice melts and changes colour.
  
• Make blue rice by cooking the rice in the blue tea.
